Asian Forest Scorpion Fun Fact: A fun fact about the Asian forest scorpion is that it glows under ultraviolet (UV) light! Like many scorpions, its exoskeleton contains special proteins that cause it to fluoresce a bright blue-green color when exposed to UV light, such as moonlight or a blacklight. Scientists are still unsure why scorpions glow, but it could be related to protection from sunlight, communication, or even a way to detect UV light in their environment.
