Chamois Fun Fact: A fun fact about the chamois is that these agile mountain goats are incredible climbers, able to leap as far as 6 meters (almost 20 feet) in a single bound! Native to the rugged mountain ranges of Europe, such as the Alps and Carpathians, chamois use their strong legs and specialized hooves with rubber-like grips to navigate steep, rocky terrain with ease, making them perfectly adapted to their high-altitude habitats.
