Giraffe Fun Fact: A fun fact about giraffes is that they have the same number of neck vertebrae as humans—seven! Despite their necks being up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) long, both giraffes and humans share this vertebral count. The difference is that giraffe neck vertebrae are much larger and more elongated, allowing them to reach high into trees to feed on leaves that other animals can’t access.
