Zebra Fun Fact: A fun fact about zebras is that they can sleep standing up! Like horses, zebras have a special locking mechanism in their legs that allows them to remain upright while dozing, which helps them stay alert and quickly escape predators if needed. However, for deep sleep, they still need to lie down, but only when they feel completely safe, often in the company of other zebras keeping watch.
